Ricardo Peña
Associate Attorney
As an associate attorney, Ricardo works closely with partners of the firm to support clients in achieving their legal and business goals. His background in finance, entrepreneurship, and commercial litigation enables him to approach matters with a practical and solutions-oriented mindset, adding value at every stage of the client relationship.
Ricardo earned his J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where he concentrated his studies on corporate and transactional law. While at Villanova, he was selected as a Jeffrey Moorad Sports Law Fellow and excelled in national negotiation competitions, earning multiple distinguished awards for his performances. Throughout law school, he worked with both emerging companies and established businesses, gaining experience in mergers and acquisitions, startup advising, and corporate governance. Ricardo also worked as a student attorney for Villanova’s Clinic for Asylum, Refugee, & Emigrant Services, where he assisted individuals seeking legal status in the United States.
Prior to law school, Ricardo earned both a B.S. in Finance and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he was a student-athlete as a member of the men’s soccer team. He went on to serve as a finance manager for Venture For America, a New York based nonprofit focused on supporting startups and entrepreneurs in high-growth cities across the United States. There, he worked closely with early-stage businesses, gaining valuable insight into the operational and financial challenges facing startups and small businesses.
Following law school, Ricardo began his legal career in commercial litigation, handling labor and employment matters and corporate disputes. Ricardo currently serves on the advisory board for Strides for Heroes, a nonprofit supporting veterans, first-responders and their families through therapeutic equine programs.
